A Case of Huge Ovarian Cyst

Abstract
|
|
|
This is a case study of probably the largest known ovarian cyst since World war II in Korea. Mrs. Chung 62 yrs old multipara (6) presenented herself at the 0 P D of S. R. C. H. on Nov. 16 1964.
She gave a history of the. marked distension which progressed rather rapidly for these 5 years. The factors of huge ovarian cyst, we -believe in this case are as follows;
The weight of tumor 23.5 kg, the volume of content 22L and abdominal circumferencer was 130 cm etc.
The tumor developed at left sided ovary and accompanied with pedicle torsion of 360´, and n ultiloculated pseudomucinous cystadenoma on the finding of pathology.
The tumor was removed surgically after the puncture aspiration of the cystic content under the anesthesia of contineous epidural for 2.30 hrs.
The surgery seemed uncomplicated and after 30 days, this old.lady walked- out fit and well.
